Moscow Death Brigade in Bristol!!!

Oh yes!!! Think we may very well have gig of the year on our hands here! We played with them at 0161 fest and at Boomtown. We can tell you for sure –  THIS IS GONNA GO OFF!!!

HANGAR 161 & 0161 FESTIVAL present… MOSCOW DEATH BRIGADE + SPANNER + NO PULSE

MOSCOW DEATH BRIGADE – Moscow Death Brigade is a circle-pit hip-hop phenomenon from Russia. Influenced by Drum’n’Bass, Dancehall, Techno and Grime, energized by a Hardcore-Punk attitude and layered with machine-gun Rap flow, the crew lyrically explore topical political and social issues. The result is a genre and scene-spanning explosive musical statement that speaks out against racism, fascism, sexism and bigotry and for rebellion, subversion, respect and unity.

Moscow Death Brigade has become one of the most active Russian antifascist bands, opposing all kinds of discrimination and fascism, organizing and taking part in benefit events and spreading the message of unity. From punx, skinheads and metalheads, to hip hop kids and graffiti artists, the crowd will be diverse, demonstrating that all of us are the parts of the same worldwide underground movement, based on friendship, mutual support and freedom.

After smashing it on Hangar 161 at Boomtown Fair this summer, Moscow Death Brigade are back for their first UK and Ireland tour.

And then there’s our buddies who are just as excited as us and will be sure to get it going:

NO PULSE – Blistering political hardcore punk from Easton.

We are very proud to be playing on the Anna Campbell stage, 5.45pm on Sunday 17th June. This is going to be a big one!

Ireland gigs

So for the first time we are playing a few gigs in Ireland next week. We can’t wait! Here’s how it’s gonna go.

First up is Ballina:

Then on to Dublin!

Last night is Saturday 2nd June in Cork:

Refugee solidarity gig

Roll up, roll up, you ‘orrible little squigglies – it’s gig time at the Red Lion! A night of music raising money for the Dunkirk Refugee Women’s Centre!

More precise times to follow, but things will be kicking off around 8:30/9:00 with….

Anarcho Folko playing their distressing, fast ‘n’ sloppy folk-punk shouty tunes. After several years of lying fallow, this is their long-threatened return to live gigging so come laugh at them shitting their kecks with terror!

Next up is Perkie bringing some awesome solo indie dream pop. Killa keys, vonderful vocals and lush lyrics. personal/political/powerful/passionate/pandas/pangolins

Finally, would it be a Bristol benefit gig without Spanner? Who can say? Regardless, they are playing so all is well. You know the drill: come dance around to their political punk-ska-and-all-sorts stylings and celebrate them finally finishing mixing their fucking album 😉

The gig is a benefit for Dunkirk Refugee Women’s Centre, a volunteer-run space that is “committed to supporting women, families and minors in and around Grande Synthe, Dunkirk and Calais. We support the specific needs of women, children and vulnerable people, of all ages and nationalities, who have left their homes and loved ones due to war, conflict and persecution”
